My journey into medicine began as a physiotherapist, a career path that led me to develop an interest in paediatric care. This interest ultimately inspired me to pursue a medical degree after

I did my community service as a physiotherapist at Manguzi Hospital, then I returned to Wits to study medicine. My medical career began with internship at Potchesfstroom hospital and then I completed my community service Grey Hospital in the Eastern Cape.

From 2018, I focused entirely on paediatrics. I started my medical career in paediatric medicine by working as a medical officer in the Pietermaritzburg circuit. During this time I completed my Diploma in Child Health and my HIV diploma. I also completed the exams to be registered as a doctor in the United Kingdom. From 2020 to 2024, I underwent specialist training in paediatrics with the Wits circuit.

Today, I am a fully qualified paediatrician with a commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care to children. Throughout my career, I have worked in a variety of clinical settings, which has given me a comprehensive understanding of paediatric health and the unique challenges that children and their families face.

I have a keen interest in neurodevelopment and the complex ways in which a child’s brain develops and adapts. This area of paediatric medicine has always fascinated me, and I am particularly focused on supporting children with neurodevelopmental delays or disorders.
I remain passionate about advancing the health and wellbeing of children, and I am excited to continue this journey of making a positive impact in paediatric care.
